The Happy Rockers Curling Group

Curling continued in Shawville this year. Eight curlers and their coach, Marilynn Fox, met at the Shawville Curling Club for exercise, learning and fun every week from October to April.The last game between the blue team and the red team was held on April 10 with the blue/red team coming out the winners. They have the honor of having their names on the big trophy that now is displayed in the Curling Club. The big trophy was donated by Bob Smith. Bob Smith, owner of Smitty’s Restaurant, also provided the players and a guest with a year end banquet. What a great wrap up that was!

Each player received a personal trophy and Happy Rockers pin commemorating the year. Thanks to Bob and Marilynn and the volunteers and students who put such enthusiasm into the game.
